During
the early 1800's immigrant craftsmen brought their skills and artistry
to the rich hardwood forest of the Cumberland Valley. The combination
of, abundant materials and necessity in a growing frontier gave birth
to furniture that was beautiful, sturdy, and functional. Some of the finest
pieces were made from beautiful Cherry wood found in Middle Tennessee,
it's marvelous grain and color dramatically enhanced in the craftsman's
hands. We at Davis Cabinet Company are proud to continue this fine tradition
with our Cumberland Valley collection. Using the same solid American Cherry
found in heirloom pieces treasured by old Tennessee families, and hand
rubbed in two classic finishes, this line reflects much of the honest,
vitality and warmth of young America. Whether formal or informal, the
natural elegance and heartwarming simplicity of this Davis collection
bring a timeless charm and grace to any setting.
